Venezuela ocupa séptimo puesto en el ranking mundial de los países que más usan criptomonedas en plataformas “peer-to-peer (P2P)”.

Según indicó un informe de Chainalysis, naciones como Kenia, Nigeria y Vietnam integran al grupo que realizan enormes volúmenes transaccionales en esa modalidad.

Destacó que lo que origina esto es que muchos ciudadanos utilizan los intercambios de criptomonedas P2P como su principal acceso a las criptomonedas porque “no tienen acceso a intercambios centralizados”.

Asia central y meridional, América Latina y África envían “más tráfico web a las plataformas P2P” que las regiones cuyos países tienden a tener economías más grandes, como Europa occidental y Asia oriental, reveló el documento.

Igualmente, precisó que muchos mercados emergentes “enfrentan una devaluación significativa de la moneda”, lo que lleva a los ciudadanos a comprar criptomonedas en plataformas P2P para preservar sus ahorros.

No obstante, otras personas pueden utilizar las criptomonedas para realizar transacciones internacionales, ya sea para remesas individuales o para casos de uso comercial.
